Who's Who 2003

Me--daizy, 25 years old, recent law school graduate. At school I did way too much as any of my entries from August, 2001 through April, 2004 will show. Just starting a job with an agency at the State of Texas, which is valiant and noble but low-paying.

Family

Andrea--my little sister, 22 years old. She and I have a famously weird relationship. We're complete opposites and often have trouble relating to each other. She got married in June, 2003 and was a huge diva. Since then, she and hubby have been acting like normal adults, which still weirds me out.

Sarah--my sister, 20 years old. She now is off to college, which keeps her mostly out of my hair.

Philip--my brother, 17 years old, an angsty rocker type. He's the one who's closest to me, probably because we're the most alike. We have similar tastes and interests. I hope to educate him in music, movies, and literature. (My holy trinity.)

My parents and I get along well. I have a lot of both of them in me. I talk to my mom often, but dad not so much. Mom tends to overinvolve herself in my life, but I'm used to it.

Friends

John--A former student of mine in St. Louis. (I used to teach LSAT prep.) We really hit it off. He's not exactly the monogamous type, but I'm smitten anyway. He's now in Iraq and I'm hoping he gets home safe.

Joe--Joe was my best friend. We dated. Twice. We reconciled. Then things were peachy. For a while things were great, even though we dated other people. Then he met a girl and stopped speaking to me. He misses me and I miss him but alas, his wife will not let us speak to each other. Still, he's a force in my life.

JoLee--My old roommate and friend since 7th grade. We've moved apart lately. Issues abound. I moved out and I think she's still resentful. She's just gotten married and is working on her PhD.

Ex's

Ryan--A year ahead of me in law school, amazingly intelligent, very witty, and a great Jeopardy partner. We dated in October. We broke up. We started talking again. We randomly made out in November. We randomly made out in December. And in January I finally finished it off. He got married shortly after we broke up.

Brock--An old boyfriend. Check out my October and November 2001 entries for more on him. We don't belong together but have really great chemistry that tends to keep us coming back to each other when we're romantically frustrated. He got engaged to a nice girl and has hopefully cleaned up his act.
